Serena will be covered by Suteki Shinsukekun (JPN)
/ 23.1.2011 / The mare Serena (Rainbows for Life) has departed today to be covered for the first time. Her temporary home will be at MVDr. Eduard Kubíček’s Breeding Stud in Střelice. After a careful selection it was decided that the most suitable match for Serena, who finished her career with the handicap of 86.5 kg, will be the sire Suteki Shinsukekun (JPN), who is starting his stallion duties in the Czech Republic this year.
DS MAENTIVA’S New Reinforcement: 3YO Laran (IRE), GH 2010 – 84 kg
/ 11.1.2011 / The Racing Stables MAENTIVA marked the beginning of year 2011 with a very interesting purchase. The DS MAENTIVA bought a promising stallion, Laran (IRE). Laran’s father is Black Sam Bellamy (IRE) and his mother is Larana (GER). However, Laran will not represent his previous stables, Agrolipt ČR, any more. As a three-year old, he will supplement classic hope of the DS MAENTIVA and it is very ambitious. Laran is a full brother of Linda (GER), who is the winner of the race “Zimní královna 2009“(Winter Queen of 2009) and of the race “Cena Pat¨s Music“(Pat’s Music Prize); in the race “Jarní cena klisen” (Mares’s Spring Prize) she finished in second place.
Serena Has Changed Her Racing Career to Brood-Mare One
/ 5.10.2010 / Although there are still almost two more months in front of us in the current horse race season in the Czech Republic, we have not managed to find any appropriate races for Serena (Rainbows For Life - Sara (Dara Monarch), our three-year-old mare, in current propositions. For this reason, we are not able to arrange a proper farewell to her racing career for her, as they say - the farewell in full glory on the racetrack. That is the reason why she has left the training centre in Bošovice near Písek today. She spent almost two years there. Serena has been transported to her new place of work (or residence, if you like) in Vítkov near Strakonice. Ms Jana Jožáková, her new groom, will prepare Serena for her breeding there; February 2011 is the planned term of conception. Mr Martin Bláha, the owner of Serena, has commissioned Mr Tomáš Janda, an bloodstock agent, to choose a suitable stallion for Serena, his subtle filly.
Nuptius Is a Horse That Makes Us Happy
/ 20.9.2010 / Nuptius, a two-year-old gelding of racing stables DS MAENTIVA, confirmed his role of a clear favourite in the race on the prize of Fortuna bets at the AUTO HASE PARK racecourse in Velká Chuchle last Sunday. He won in the 1,200 meters race. It was a flat race of the third category for two-year-old horses. Nuptius has scored his second victory in a fortnight.
One Victory, One Good Result and Two Acquisitions for DS MEANTIVA at One Weekend
/ 6.9.2010 / It was a pretty successful weekend for the DS MEANTIVA, our racing stables. At first, Nuptius (GER), our two-year-old junior, scored a clear victory in his third race after he had achieved two good results earlier this year. He won the 1 200 m race (for horses which had not won so far) at the hippodrome in Most last Saturday (04.09.2010). Then, Serena, our mare, scored in the race of the highest level. After the fine performance she was placed fourth in the National Listed 2 000 m for three-year-old and older mares. However, the 2 000 m does not seem to be her “bucket of water”!
